Title: Strange mod on a Globe Scout 65
Post by: VE7RME on February 12, 2024, 12:32:56 AM
I purchased this rig recently and I am in the process of trying to get it running again. Upon opening it up, I see some odd work that has been done (pictures attached). There is a red wire on the On Off/Filament Gain control that has been disconnected, the white disconnected wire goes to the Antenna Relay connector and the Plate indicator light from there, and I am unsure what the other connection has changed. Any ideas what is going on here? I found the manual and schematic for the 65A, but it doesn’t look to be the same (I’m not sure what the difference actually is between the 65/65A/65B?).
