Hello, this is JH8SST/7.  I've been doing AM on 40m and 10m since 2014, but restricted to domestic QSO.

I learned from WU2D Mike YouTube that international 10m AM contacts are made on 29.010 MHz and around recently, and I made the first time trans pacific DX QSO with WB8KRY Joe on 10m AM on Feb. 2 2024.  I was so excited.

I'm using a home brew TX - 6BX6(VXO)-5763(doubler)-813 plate/screen modulated by 6J7-6SN7-6L6GC Push-Pull modulator.  RX is also home-brew RF1 IF2.  Antenna is a 3 element 14/21/28 tribender up 25ft high.

I usually QRV at around 22:00 to 01:00 UTC beaming to USA.  I'm going to try Europe at around 06:00~ UTC.

I do hope to see you on 10m AM.

Hello Jun will be listening from the East Coast near Philadelphia Pa 73s Gil K3GTS

This morning, the propagation of 10m was excellent and the band was very quiet here. I heard rag chew was going on on 29.010MHz.

I worked WB8KRY followed by WA8SAJ. The AM signals from them came in 56 to 59+ QSB !   

WA8SAJ Jeff's Crystal microphone gave me AM signals of excellent readability.  .

Thank you for the comment.  I did call CQ on 22:00 Feb 25 (here Feb 26 07:00 JST), and also 22:00 Feb 26 ( Feb 27 07:00 JST).

Unfortunately, I received no AM sigal answering my CQ.

I'm going to QRV on that time, as long as noise is low. 

I'd be so appreciate if you'd find me and call me AM.

I am very active in the UK on AM using a DX100. I don't hear any activity on AM from JA. I'd be very pleased to work you. It woulf need to be around maybe 0800utc.

Thanks a lot for the comment.   I tried once to work with EU on 29.010MHz AM at around 07:00 UTC before, but I got no reply.

Dear AMer's in W and EU,  I'm continueing QRV on 10m AM at around 22:00 UTC.   Recently, propagation seems to be less good than in Feb, as even SSB sigs from US are less strong than in Feb.

I'm going to continue attempts for 2-way AM contact with W stations at around 22:00 UTC ~ and also with EU stations at around 08:00 UTC~.

I do hope to see you on the Air by AM.   

Mar. 20, I made a contact at 22:00 UTC on 29.017MHz with WA0FDV John from West Fargo, ND. His signals were 59 QSB, and mine 55.

I doubt you’ll hear me in Massachusetts from my Anytone AT-6666 in my work truck, but I see it’s 21:51 UTC, so I may put the rig on to see if I hear anything. I’ve never heard a JA, so that would be exciting!

After 8 months, I made another QSO with WB8KRY, Joe, this morning (Nov. 5 22:15z)  on 29.010 MHz.  I've been calling CQ at around 22:00Z for this past 2 weeks (Mon - Fri), but I've never got any call or never found any AM signals until this morning.  I'm going to keep listening and calling CQ on 28.010 or 28.030 MHz at sometime between 21:45 to 22:15 Mon - Fri.   I do hope to meet on the air with AMer's abroad.

No call.  I couldn't hear even SSB sigs from US this morning.   I'm going to keep trying QRV from time to time.

Hi Jun..ever since John G3YPZ informed me of ur attempts to work the US..I've been following along..however I want to tell you of a recent "new" thing that has appeared on 29.030..ops in Portugal have set up an FM repeater on that freq as well as 29.050 along with an all day always on one at 29.100..I DO NOT want you to change freq but just be aware if ya hear sumptin and ya can't make it out or interference blocks you..now ya know..I personally cannot work you or anyone in that region because of a broken down rotor that keeps me at 70 deg NNE..I wish you the best and maybe once the rotor is fixed..well ya never know..73 de DAVE WB1EAD
