Title: sb200 band switch stuck Post by: ve6pg on June 07, 2005, 11:00:41 PM HI FROM TIM..RECENTLY PICKED UP AN SB200 AMP.IT HAS NEW 572B'S IN IT. ANY WAY,THE BAND SWITCH IS STUCK. THE PREVIOUS OWNER STRIPPED THE BANDSWITCH KNOB,TRYING IN VAIN TO CHANGE BANDS.SO,I ATTEMPTED WITH CHANGE THE BANDS WITH PLYERS,TO SEE HOW DIFFICULT IT WOULD BE. WELL,IT WOULDNT MOVE,AND I DIDNT TRY TO FORCE IT. SO BEFORE I OPEN IT UP,I WOULD LIKE OPINIONS ON WHAT MAY WORK FER THIS THING..WD40?,ETC?..TIM..SK..

told me, "A world class amplifier uses plug in coils". But in the case of an SB-200, maybe try to find a more strapping bandswitch and fit it in there.
