Title: AF4K Crystals stocking rocks for 10m AM operation
Post by: wd8das on April 15, 2023, 01:27:25 PM

I've been hearing lots more activity on 10-meter AM.  As has been the case in previous sunspot cycles, the AM action seems to line up on 29.000, 29.010, 29.020, 29.030, 29.040 and so on.  This probably originated in the way converted PLL CB sets channels were arranged.

Here at AF4K Crystals I recently replenished my stock of crystals to put vintage ham rigs on those frequencies.  You will find them in my webstore (starts at http://af4k-crystals.com/) listed in the various holder types for ham-band use.

I'm stocking the following:

7250  kHz (4x=29.00)
7252.5  kHz (4x=29.01)
7255  kHz (4x=29.02)
7257.5 kHz (4x=29.03)
7260  kHz (4x=29.04)

I love how the low-power AM rigs that sometimes struggle on the lower MF/HF bands tend to work beautifully on ten meters!  When the band is open only a few watts can do wonders.

Here's a link directly to the FT-243 crystals:

Thank you.
