Title: Collins 51s-1 tuning drive shaft Post by: N9AXl on March 10, 2023, 11:19:54 AM I was cleaning this to deal with the slippage. When I reassembled
this it doesn’t seem to catch. The shaft is just rotating. I reset the backlash gears per the instruction I found here. The shaft rotates if I turn the gears inside so the gear on the shaft seems placed right on the dial gear. I’m seeing strange things on this radio. Could someone please confirm all the parts are there and the order of assembly of this is correct? I’m thinking I have to really tighten this nut to get everything correct. I attach a photo with my order of assembly from 1 to 5.
