That sort of thing kept me in $ for 60 years.  Still brings in a bit.

I do miss the behemoth tube rigs, with raw Tungsten fils and a bank of MV rects keeping time to the beat.

Not that there is anything wrong with say a new Nautel 50kW AM.  Smaller than our Sub-Zero fridge. Makes great sound and less heat than a portable heater...

AM Stereo, wow. Did not think anyone was running that anymore. Don’t think they have built any C Quam receivers in decades, did read that some AM broadcasters have dumped there stupid IBOC HD systems and went back to C-Quam being all the issues associated with IBOC but don’t know of any myself. We did have a group of FM broadcasters that went into IBOC FM because they discovered that you can install IBOC on your FM station and then install translators and rebroadcast your second program stream on the translators and in a sense have a second FM station. Also, you will see a lot of the AM broadcasters now installing FM translators and rebroadcasting there AM signal on FM so they can get on the FM band. It somehow appears that the issue with broadcasting today is not that we need better radio but more radio, at least that’s how management sees it.
