Title: Peak Limiters, EQ's & Computer Software, What to do?
Post by: VA3ACJ on October 13, 2022, 11:35:11 PM
Hi Everyone!

I'm starting this thread to ask what type of audio gear you prefer to use for Mic EQ's and Peak Limiters?
Anything to do with getting audio over the +100% on peaks with clean clear sound and controlling the negatives.

I'm using a Johnson Viking Ranger and unsure as to how far I can push it for example: 120%, 135%, or 150% ? What do you think and what is the best way of doing this?
I'd need to buy either some computer sound card (open for suggestions) and or some peak limiter/AGC gear.

Interested to hear what you find works best for your situation and what you might recommend that I can try with this old tube Ranger.

P.S. I may take a few days before I reply, sorry about the wait if you ask me any questions I'll answer them asap.

My qrz.com page shows my audio chain that I use on the SDR and the 813 transmitters.
