Title: 50.4 is dead Post by: n4joy on June 11, 2022, 11:51:00 AM Anyone attempting to make contacts on 50.4? I've been calling CQ for weeks and no returns. In fact, it has been four years since I last made a contact on 50.4 outside a few locals. I've been pointing the beam in all directions and am greeted with silence.

QSY down between 50.125 and 50.2 MHz and work the SSB stations. They won't even know you're on AM. :D They will just think you have too much carrier. The band has been open almost every day since early May BUT, the mode of choice has been FT8. I haven't heard or worked any AM stations on 6 meters for at least a year or two.
