Title: Anode Clip Post by: AI7CH on May 11, 2022, 07:20:54 PM Hi,
Anyone know where I might find anode clips like this? This one is 6mm, but I need them for 6146/6883's. I checked RFParts and eBay, but no luck on one for a 3/8" anode. The ceramic ones are pretty, but way too big for the space I have available. Title: Re: Anode Clip Post by: AI7CH on May 11, 2022, 11:42:46 PM That clip is for a 0.25" (1/4") anode cap. A 6146/6883 is 0.375 (3/8"). Thanks for the suggestion.

Where is the problem with ceramic clip on the top of 6146 ? Title: Re: Anode Clip Post by: AI7CH on May 12, 2022, 03:16:28 PM See my other thread "AM TX/Amp Build", picture about 1/2 way down.
The spacing between the tube sockets and the RF choke is pretty tight (on purpose). There's just enough room for the parasitic suppressor and a clip like this. I assumed it would be relatively easy to find one for a 3/8" anode, but apparently not. Worst case, I can make one, but just hoping someone might know of a source. 73's Bill AI7CH Title: Re: Anode Clip Post by: W1RKW on May 12, 2022, 05:09:38 PM could obtain a ceramic version and extract the metal clip from it.
Title: Re: Anode Clip Post by: DMOD on May 12, 2022, 07:40:31 PM I have used a trimmed down empty .380 ACP cartridge :o when in a bind. It's easy to solder a #16 wire into the primer hole, the same gauge I use for parasitic chokes.
