Oh yeah, Don Wallace was legendary.  I remember when he passed away quite a few years ago, and some club wanted to turn his QTH into a museum, but it never came to pass.   He had quite the spread, an antenna farm to die for worthy of a coast station.  It was inevitable that once Don went SK, his property was soon sold, subdivided, and developed into McMansions.
