Do you have the manual? I have a 2500DX and I am looking at the manual. I am not seeing any 1/4 watt resistors in the circuit. I am not saying there isn't any, I just cannot find it! I will keep looking, I must be over looking that section. Be aware that Comand had quite a few changes, rarely documented, especially in the earlier days of the amp. In the Palstar days this was mostly stopped, but it still happened as things where sorted out.
