Title: UTC Mod xfrmr S-22 ratings
Post by: WB6VHE on May 19, 2005, 04:00:07 PM
Greetings!

Does anyone have, or know where to get,  the specs (max voltage, current,
etc) for the UTC S-22 mod xfrmr?  I got the connection info from amwindow
website, but haven't been able to find anything else.  A copy of a spec sheet
would be wonderful!

Thanks in advance, and
73,

I have a few copies of UTC catalogs, the only spec's mentioned for the S-22 is that it is a 250 watt mod transformer, no specs on max DC volts or current.

It does mention that the secondary "carries class c current" (no value), so whatever 500 watts works out to be on your final would be the limit of ma that the secondary permits, since mod power is usually half of the carrier.

Thanks to all who replied!  Larry, yes, very useful!  At least I know the xfrmr is rated
at 2 kV; plus, specs for other tubes also interesting.
Thanks again!
