Six is indeed hopping of late.  On Saturday afternoon, was listening to sideband  locals in SE New England on 50.135 with my Yaesu FT-100D in the car with a mag mount whip.  Worked them easily, then heard and worked K9DG near Madison , WI.  When he turned his beam(s) on me he was overloading the receiver!  I was 59 out there as well from the mobile with 100 watts PEP and the whip.  Didnt hear any AM on though.  Some of the locals here were working down into PR and the islands.
