4Kw pep, 1Kw carrier (albeit they disclaim that as short duration).... --Shane KD6VXI Title: Re: Big Remotuna Post by: WA2SQQ on October 30, 2020, 06:09:24 PM And how much does this little gem cost?
Title: Re: Big Remotuna Post by: KD6VXI on October 30, 2020, 06:11:48 PM I believe it's a case of "If you have to ask......."
The other two tunas have list prices. This is a custom build, you pay your money and they build it. Definitely not for everyone.. And better than MFJ quality :) --Shane KD6VXI Title: Re: Big Remotuna Post by: K6JEK on October 31, 2020, 01:14:47 AM And how much does this little gem cost? 3200 Euros + shipping That's about 3200 x 1.16 = big bucks + shipping Looks nice, though, doesn't it. Ought to work fine with a <1:1.5 SWR? Ok, so I am skeptical, and the price is way too high for that build quality, imho. _-_-bear Title: Re: Big Remotuna Post by: W2PFY on November 01, 2020, 09:13:25 PM It says it can do 350 watts on AM. I wonder if that is 350 watts from a linear or straight out of a classic class C rig? I think there is a difference with a Class C classic rig with perhaps more wild peak excursions of HV RF over what you would see via an amplifier? It's known in some circles as The Wile Coyote Class C Complex! AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
