If supplied with a current-limited voltage and the base plate used as the cathode, it makes a nice little glow. However I don't recommend doing this for long or at high current over a few mA. YMMV. Do not fiddle with the screws. It's my birth year tube LOL no cooler tube can I imagine.

For example to get a car antique registration in the state of NY it is 25 years back from the current year. This may vary from state to state and probably from country to country. But I think that spark gap device was something from late 1943-46 and as far as electronics are concerned, most of us if not all,would agree that stuff from that era is antique... |
