Title: ADC modulation reactor? Post by: K1ZJH on May 14, 2020, 09:33:37 AM I have a chance to pick up an ADC reactor that measures 50H with no DC bias. It weighs about 50# and the owner suspects it is a modulation reactor, but the only part number he can see is A5592 and the Audio Development Co. label. It does not show in my EEM master catalogs. Is anyone familiar with this inductor? ADC did make some broadcast transmitter iron, but information is sparse.

It reminds me of something similar in size, shape, and weight here, but it's buried way in the back of the secondary junkbox. It was given to me by a fellow ham (W2ZM) and commercial radio station owner and he said it was a mod reactor.
My purpose for chiming in here is to find out about how old they may be? I thought they may be mid thirty's? I'll take my meter with me soon to measure the inductance.
