Title: A Telvar transmitter
Post by: W7TFO on February 18, 2020, 11:14:01 PM
I just got this jewel, it needs caps and such, and tubes.  2X6L6RF X 6L6PP mod.

Most of the coils, too.  I have a copy of the original tech sheet.

I plan on teaming it up with the Hammy HQ-140X.

This will be a fun project! :D

Nice! I never heard of Telvar. Did you get it on the air?

I haven't had time to get it working yet.  Still gathering the 6L6Y's for it,  but all the caps, coils set, lit, and other tubes are here.

Will inform of progress.

You appear to have this exact radio.

Yep, that is it.  Pretty nice shape, really.  Used, not abused.

Looks like an 'advanced' small production item.

Anyways, it ought to do just fine on local ops.
