Title: Mystery meter Post by: W8ACR on January 27, 2020, 08:17:05 PM I found this s-meter when I was going through my box of meters. Does anybody know what kind of receiver it belongs to?
Thanks, Ron Title: Re: Mystery meter Post by: WBear2GCR on January 28, 2020, 08:36:18 AM Well, dunno. It is nice.
But the only S-Meter I know of that is set up "backwards" is in my Hallicrafters SX-28. This isn't an SX-28 meter, but? Can you peer down behind the glass? Any markings there? Title: Re: Mystery meter Post by: w4bfs on January 28, 2020, 01:22:01 PM maybe TMC?

Thanks, Ron W8ACR Title: Re: Mystery meter Post by: W8ACR on January 28, 2020, 06:30:55 PM I took the meter out of the housing and found another number on the very bottom of the faceplate "83C250".
The meter looks new on the inside. Very clean. I don't need it. I'll probably post it in the FOR SALE section later tonight. Thanks again, Ron Title: Re: Mystery meter Post by: K9PNP on January 28, 2020, 07:34:40 PM Case kinda reminds me of Simpson as a manufacturer, maybe WW II era. And, the color and stamping of the number looks like it may have been military.
Title: Re: Mystery meter Post by: K7MCG on January 28, 2020, 09:22:05 PM 82C248 shows up as the S-meter for Hallicrafters SX-88, Run 1. Manual from BAMA.
