Any using this product?
AMM-SD1 Series Amplitude Modulation Monitors from Radio Engineering Associates.
If so is it worth the price?

Hi John -

Yes, I highly recommend it. I use one here. The best use of a laptop computer in the shack for AM is having two windows - one using an SDR to monitor your spectrum transmitted signal (and received signal) and the other window showing Steve's modulation monitor % of modulation, peaks and asymmetry using the virtual modulation meters. (transmitted signal)  It easily shows you the proper transmitted audio phase to use as well as a virtual scope picture of your signal, if you are not using an external scope.

Steve/ WA1QIX has several products out there including boards and parts for class E rigs and has always priced his stuff reasonably.

The mod monitor is a great addition to the shack and is used by many AMers on this forum as well as by many commercial AM broadcast stations.  His tech support and sense of urgency to get you up and running right is top notch.  You will be pleased.

Tom, K1JJ

One of the best investments I've made in the hobby in years.  The little "Asymmetry" meter is particularly useful; the peak flashers, too.

Hello John,
This mod monitor is first rate, you can depend on it without question. I have had mine for years and now would not be without it.

Running AM without one is like driving a car with a bag over your head...

I use it for Broadcast and Amateur work. For field testing I download the software to my laptop for portability.

Very reliable.

I wish Steve would consider making a PCB for his negative peak limiter.

Another positive (peak) response here. It's a great tool for any AMer. I have a small monitor over my AM rig dedicated to it, and I love the old school look of those VU meters.
