Title: Collins 75A2 Band Selector Alignment
Post by: Carl WA1KPD on January 01, 2020, 07:16:44 PM
My 75A2 band selector drum was way off alignment- It was in the blank area of the dial and would not move with the switch.
Opening it up, I discovered that the string/fishing wire had slipped of the drum on the bandswitch. I replaced it and now the entire thing is out by about ½ a band. Do I adjust it with the set screw on the bandswitch pully, or the setscrews on the drum (hidden I think by a large spiral spring).
The manual is mute on the issue and a Google search did not help.
TIA
Carl

Setscrew on the drum is what I have done...

iirc, there is a section on stringing the front panel dial cord in the manual, but I don't know
exactly what it says or calls for.
