Title: Happy New Year 2020 Post by: WA2SQQ on December 28, 2019, 09:21:54 AM Happy New Year to all - cheers!
So during this holiday season I've been sampling many craft beers. I came across two amateur radio related hoppy references. I suspect there may be many more! New definitions for an "807"? We shall meet on the air sitting in front of the microphones in dress shirts and ties (HI). I will be drinking chocolate wine from Holland.

Title: Re: Happy New Year 2020 Post by: AJ1G on December 30, 2019, 11:24:01 AM I recommend an Australian Shiraz as the perfect accompaniment to your Straight Key Night operations, or working the VKs on the Gray Line down in the 3790-3800 kHz DX window:
https://www.quintessentialwines.com/Morse-Code-Shiraz I came across this wine at the Irving gas stop/convenience store/restaurant/Dunkies/beer and wine/ice cream parlor on Rt 43 near Rt 101 in Candia, just south of the Deerfield Fairgrounds a couple of Nearfests ago. Was very good. Apparently named as a tribute to the land-line and eventually wireless Morse operators who were once the main means of communication in the Outback. All the best to everyone in the new year! Title: Re: Happy New Year 2020 Post by: W4EWH on December 30, 2019, 11:01:02 PM I hope all hams have a great 2020, and a stupendous sunspot cycle to boot!
