Title: Variable AC Fuse Circuit Post by: WA2SQQ on August 26, 2019, 09:29:07 PM I'm wondering if anyone has a circuit for a variable AC fuse circuit? I'd like to have a circuit that would be variable from .5A to at least 5A. Would come in handy when working on some old equipment.

Many options. There should be lots of circuits around for that. I think the simpler ones are for DC. But they could be used with a bridge rectifier for AC current. Maybe a small cap across the +/- of the bridge to stop noise triggering it. Not my idea, been around for decades. There's a good idea in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlRQTPFRUV8 |
