Title: B& W 2500A amplifier help
Post by: K9EID on July 04, 2019, 05:34:49 PM
I have a B&W 2500A in nice condition but has a few problems.  Intermittent keying problems.   One of the 3-500 in the right socket situation where the plates get red.  Exchanged the 3-500 tubes and same situation which points to that right socket.  Have cleaned, etc. no help.

Would like to find someone that is familiar with this amplifier and can get it all straightened out.

It came from a friends estate and has cleaned up very well.   Needs some attention.

Don't ignore the left bulb it may be free loading.  Like an open grid choke letting the grid go negative.
