Title: New AM freq. in USA?? Post by: pe1mph on February 02, 2019, 12:56:48 AM Hello AM Lovers,
Oh, oh last weeks bad, bad conditions on 80 meters. :'( F6AQK, 9H1ES and me on 3660 khz in AM have problems... We can not hear each other or with low S-points. I need to use some webreivers to hear Jean and Fortunato ;) For example: http://sdr.radioandorra.org:8901/ -Andorra http://iw2nke.ddns.net:8073/ - Italy Before and after our difficult qso I listen around 3885. But evenso there I hear last weeks NO am from the USA. Hi, hi.... this morning I hear some talking. For me it is a NEW AM freq.: 3905 khz I guess I heard Steve there.... Perhaps I were to late, because I heard him a few times. I saw the S-meter comming up, so he did have a good signal. I were complete surprised, I falling nearly from my chair.... But that is a good choice that freq.: 3905 khz. Between 3895 - 3910 is mostly the band clean by me. Because around 3885 I hear often a big digitale mode signal... Hi, hi.... I put the freq. 3905 in Memory Kenwood R-5000. And listen more to that freq., maybe I hear more stations there... Oh by the way... I have received plenty BC stations from the USA on MW. But this morning I heard evenso 'digital noise' on 3905! Evenso, again, around 3885 khz I received that 'horrible sound'.... :'( And totaly nobody I heard in AM talking. :'( I understand; 3905 khz it is not a 'normale' AM Freq. Oke thanks for all info, but I heard your voice loud & clear Steve. ;) Greetings, Henk, pe1mph Dokkum, The Netherlands |
