Title: AN/ARC-38
Post by: KA3EKH on January 10, 2019, 04:52:25 PM
Time to blow my own horn again, just put a video up on YouTube of my AN/ARC-38 Collins auto tune AM transceiver. It uses two 6159 in a push pull circuit for the modulator and three 6159 tubes in parallel in the PA as the final amplifier. The 6159 is a military version of the 6146 with a 28 volt filament.

Great job! Complex rig. Love watching the auto tune electro mech stuff doing its job. Bravo.

One of my favorite transceivers. Real autotune and all tubes, home-repairable.
