Title: CCA AM1000D Moving
Post by: K4ABL on December 01, 2018, 11:01:38 PM
This CAA AM 1000D was purchased in 1969 for a local station. It hasn't been used in over ten years. From 1976 until 1979, I maintained it. Since then, it was used and patched up many times to stay on the air. I don't think it was ever vacuumed again since '79. I am in the process of moving it.

If someone needs a copy of the manual or a copy of the schematics, I have them and would send you a copy just for the postage cost.

Its amazing on how dirty those things can get? Just cleaning it once a year would have helped but alas, they are the forgotten stepchild many times residing in a lowly transmitter site far from the studios? I have seen many ma & pa stations where the transmitter resides in or near the studio, and they look close to new 20 years after the thing was put into operation.

Good luck with it!
