Title: GCARA 1936 AM Night Announcement Post by: w8gnm on October 30, 2018, 12:06:02 PM The Greater Cincinnati Amateur Radio Association 160 meter 1936 net will hold its annual AM night AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
on December 27, 2018. The net is normally conducted each Thursday at 9PM EST in LSB on 1936kHz, but on the last Thursday of the year we switch to AM. The official start time is 9PM EST, however on AM night a pre-list of check-in's will be taken starting at 6:30PM EST. The frequency will be 1936 kHz as usual. The net, founded in 1936 and revitalized in 1986 on the 50th anniversary of the GCARA, is one of the oldest nets in the country. AM rigs of every vintage and description are welcome. You do not have to be a member of the GCARA to participate. Please join us on December 27th for some "gud ole" 160 meter Angel Music! |
