Title: Winter propagation Conditions
Post by: W3RSW on October 16, 2018, 04:58:21 PM
As I sit on my deck in northern WVa this afternoon, I’m seeing the first Sun Dogs of the season. I’m hoping that these High altitude ice crystals generating rainbow segments about 15 degrees each side of the wan sun (IFIRC) portend an early winter.   - - with all the storms staying in belts farther south enough to give many of us a lot lower QRN.

Well I can hope; now to get some wire back up to actually get on the air.   ;D  Oops, The leaves aren’t even down yet.

I look forward to the winter propagation, especially for 160m. It's been my experience that as 10-15-20 decline from the sunspot cycle, 160 - 80 - 40 get better. I need 2 more states on 160 (AK & HI) and I've heard them both last year. I plan on making a sked with both ops.
