Title: A Suggested LV Supply for Clark's 4X4 Post by: DMOD on April 20, 2018, 04:56:09 PM In order to offload some of the current from the HV B+ supply here is a suggested separate LV Supply for Clark's 6146 4X4 system.
The Voltage Divider would be energized from the same Keying relay that energizes the HV B+ transformer but on separate contacts. I was able to get along with just one tap from the main bleeder (50k/100W) by setting it for the driver plate supply then adding a resistor from there for the screens with a regulator tube. Seems to work, but disaster struck (see original thread for details). The power transformer HV secondary has an unused CT (full wave bridge) so there’s a nice 300V source.
