It is a 4 pin tube base with the diodes covered with white epoxy. It is labeled with a piece of tape with 8d83 hand written on it. The base is labeled Sylvania under the tape. That type does not show up anywhere but it has 83 in the number, maybe equivalent to that type. 4 pin it could be anything up to a 5Z3 size, same rating as 5U4. also could be smaller like the 5X4, 400V RMS per plate @ 100mA or 1275V RMS per plate@30mA. Might also be something someone made. Perhaps the best way to find out would be to use or rig up a diode tester to give breakdown voltage and then give yourself some room. |
