Yeah, the new one has some nice improvements. Not sure if I want to get one of those or the Airspy with its good dynamic range, but it does not have the frequency coverage range of the RSP, maybe have to get one of each!

Yeah Huz; Amazing what can be done at very reasonable cost.
Pretty neat specs. A dongle alternative for sure.
Note though that this Rig doesn't receive from 31 to 60 MHz which excludes 6 meters and some utility and railroad, etc. type traffic.  Also latency is purported to be around half a second which might be problematical when using with a transmitter.

Sold my RSP1 and got the 1A. For me, BIG difference. Living very near a 50kw AM station, the built in BCB trap and new filtering options make a big difference. The built in FM trap now makes monitoring Mil Air traffic much better. I’m very happy with it,

They also improved the LNA and made the gain variable (same as the RSP2). This is crucial in avoiding overload when connected to a good antenna on HF.

I had to quit using mine. The USB driver(s) break my USB keyboard & mouse if anything 'wrong' happens like accidentally unplugging and replugging the SDR. Yeah I know 'don't do that' but it's too unstable a situation for me. Different/dedicated computer might be better for it.
