Title: Stacked switching supplies for 100V DC

I'm working on a quick 160M transmitter for the holidays. Not wanting to go the route of a linear supply with heavy iron, I stacked two Meanwell LRS-350-48 supplies in series. Each supply is a 48VDC (+/- 10%) 350W switcher, with an inferred sufficient isolation voltage at the output. (Since MW USA never answered my emails.)

Today I did a quick load test of that stackup to make sure there were no hidden gremlins. The two supplies were adjusted up to 50V and have 60A rectifier diodes across their outputs for safety and being able to run a single supply for low power.

So far I am satisfied with the performance. Not bad for $34 a supply.

It's MUCH lighter and will offer better load regulation over a linear.
