Title: Newbie Help
Post by: N5RXP on November 14, 2017, 08:27:47 AM
Hi guys: I've been licensed for a long time, but only recently got the "BIG IRON" AM bug. I have a Gates BC1-T I got from a SK in another state, and I've been having fun figuring it out. BUT....what I would really like to do at this point is go visit someone with a similar rig to see how they are doing things. I don't want an elmer especially, just a tour with a little show n tell.

Is there anyone in the greater San Antonio area running big iron of AM? (old broadcast transmitter)

Thanks

There is an AM net on 7160 around noon -1PM. covers DFW to Houston and that radius in all directions. Sometimes hear from OK and LA. Not that Dallas is the center, but more or less giving the usual coverage area.

Quite a few projects of this sort online... emails may get you pix/info of use?

Or post here and ask questions, you may get something useful out of that too.
