Title: Hubbell Old Style Connectors, Source??
Post by: W6TOM on October 24, 2017, 02:38:05 PM
I have one of these old style Hubbell chassis AC connectors, 15 amp, 120 vac, see picture.

I want to find another of these chassis AC connectors and 2 of the connectors that plug into it.

I'm also looking for the 20 amp, 120 vac equivalent chassis AC connector and the plug, same outside diameter.

  Anyone have a source?? Thanks!!

I've got some navy gear that has the two prong version.  I've been looking for a modern 3 prong version without luck.  Best I can figure is to replace it with a ubiquitous Euro plug on a blanking plate.

I have had good luck finding things like this at Grainger Industrial Supply.  They have an on-line catalog.  General web site is grainger.com.  May take a little time to look through the catalog, but may be able to search for the Hubbell part number.  They have physical stores; may be one in your area.  We have one about 25 miles away.

I have a TCS AC Power Supply, PP-380, I want to have a grounded AC line cord and I have thought about using the Euro Plug, it would be nicer to use the part that fits the hole.

There is a Granger near me in Oakland, thanks!!

I believe that a simple single molded socket (female contacts) extension  cord will work ok for either type(2 or 3 ) chassis mounted plug (male pins)...work fb

How about the 15A Hubbell HBL5240? made to work with molded receptacle cables only. Try your local hardware store for the cable - you may have to shave some plastic to make it fit.

I'm not sure there is a 20A "miniature" size. There is this 20A version

Some other candidates -
Leviton 5239 - maybe too big.

Hubbell HBL-5278C - maybe too big.
