Title: She's A Dirty One Post by: Steve - K4HX on October 11, 2017, 06:31:37 PM Doing some repair and maintenance on my 40 meter delta loops. Opened up the switch box. Kinda nasty inside but the relay contacts look good. All in all, not too bad for 8.5 years of heavy use.

You do live in a quasi saltwater environment, wind blown water wise. The rivers are tidal and salty on both sides of you I think. Perhaps some sort of plastic box next time Don't think a grounded box is necessary for radiating nodes. Ants have been responsible for ruining more than one HVAC compressor contactor here. The hinged door closes tightly to make a weather seal. The components are used for receiving antenna matching (a band switching relay is missing in the pic).
