Title: Valiant Plug Post by: wb6kwt on July 04, 2017, 03:42:30 PM I was able to get the the transmitter out of the cabinet and was able to trace some of the connections on the plug I showed. I know this is a long shot but do any of you recognize this mod? Here is what I can see on the left side of the connector. I don't understand what this is suppose to do. I haven't tried to bring the transmitter on line yet.

I've never tuned a Valiant but I do have the manual and it's pretty straight forward. This transmitter has had a tough life and lots of use, some of the labels are worn off. I'll keep testing the other bands and finally get it on the air. I was just curious as to what the purpose of that socket is but thought it a long shot that someone might have seen something like it before.
