Bunch of cool old gear came my way today! Some I found the books on, others will have to look for. I got the gear from Tucker Electronics where it had been sitting in the back corner of the warehouse.. Must have been there for a couple decades. The price was right too. It's not the usual high end stuff Tucker sells, this is all old vacuum tube gear.

Before the old scopes are scoffed at, this tube kind is great because a little mistake with B+ won't blow the front end to smithereens and the deflection plates are accessible so they could be used for modulation scopes, etc. which is usually done by capacitor coupling. Anyway I got to send him the list of manuals I am looking for first since I am already doing biz there and he might have them as it was his stuff.


Teletronics Laboratory model PC-100 pulse generator & calibrator

Unknown specs, seems to have 0-500 and 0-5000 PPS range. Pulses are great for low duty cycles testing of peak power capability. Can't have too many pulse generators!
Has "sliding pulse" function, what is that?

Technology instruments Corporation type 703 oscilloscope
A 5" rackmount X-Y scope- no sweep, just a vector scope.
unknown bandwidth but no expense spared. Well worth investigating. Dual 6080 regulators!

Dumont oscilloscope model 304AR
A 5" rackmount scope, DC-50KHz+ the traditional Dumont 304 unit.

A 5" rackmount scope, dual channel, DC-200KHz - will be replacing my single channel 500KHz unit for tube audio work.

Rackmount unit. My First Differential Voltmeter. Maybe I can learn something.

Gertsch Ratio Transformer model 10
0.35V/Hz, 50-10KHz. 3 decades and a multi-turn potentiometer with 0000-9999 dial. My First Gertch RatioTrans. Maybe I can learn something.

Two short racks came with the collection, gave them to Jacob. Also four roll-chart recorders came with the stack. He's storing them for now but there should be as good use for one at some point. Unknown if styli/pens are still available or what inputs they take.

Lots of neat stuff. You are obviously single, married with an understanding wife or personal friend with a great divorce lawyer! I'd love to collect more, but my wife is constantly talking about down sizing!

Any of these, based on the most frequent objections or complaints, are possibly useful in solving the  "suggested downsizement castigation".

Tall racks for efficient space usage (like New York City).
 - empty spaces closed with panels until filled.
Designated man space -the garage, a room, an independent building.
Having or putting the equipment in working order.
Having it be clean and shiny or nice looking.
Using the equipment so it can't be accused of idle space-wasting.
 - failing that, hooking it up so that when you run the station or work on your hobby it looks like it is being used.
