Does anyone know the procedure to mute the Racal RA6790?
Can't locate Gary Wingerd anymore...

Gary told me that there is no good way to mute the 6790...I am using an antenna relay to disconnect the antenna and It worked well for quite a while...however, I still managed to fry the input board.  I need to repair it as soon as I can figure out how to repair it...   any ideas?   thanx and gud luk

The muting board I got from Phil, GW0VYF, works FB. I just checked, and his website is still up, so I think he is still in business. Got my board a year ago, no problems installing it at all. http://www.a6a2.co.uk/

Has anyone heard of anyone who actually has a schematic for these, or any RACAL receivers??

BTW, the board you want from Phil is the A1 OVP board -- adds over voltage protection, a 10 dB preamp, and full receiver muting:
