After decades of no 160 beyond running into a T with 75m dipole and large dummy load a few times, I finally have trees and space to hang the 160 dipole which has been patiently waiting. The 'oh boy!' side says 100 feet, realistically I'd guess some of them are in the 65-75 foot range, maybe taller. Some large beech and tulip trees, a few oaks mixed in. LF is a real challenge. But even modest systems are having good success and long haul commo. It lives in a world of its own. Doesn't need sunspots or maunders. |
