Title: Microphone Stand Accessories - SOLVED! Post by: ashart on April 01, 2017, 05:28:56 PM Good day - AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
This issue has been solved! To my knowledge, modern microphones and stands use extension tubes and accessories with a 5/8" thread. However, my vintage Turner 99 mike has, and uses a stand with, 3/4" threads. The stand on my Turner mike is too tall, and I'd like to find a shorter 2", 3", or even 4" stand-extension to fit between the base and the mike. It would be a chrome-plated tube with a 3/4" diameter, with male 3/4" threads at each end. A reasonable price is awaiting the right extension. Alternatively, 2 adapters with 5/8" female threads and 3/4" male threads would allow me to use a common 5/8" extension. Other ideas welcome, as long as they don't tell me to just use a D-104, etc. :) Thanks. -al hart al@w8vr.org www.w8vr.org |
