Title: HRO "Sixty" hitchhiker Post by: WBear2GCR on March 20, 2017, 12:56:28 PM This HRO "Sixty" (that's what the front panel says) followed me home from the Southington Ct. hamfester on Sunday. Went with Steve, W2TRH. Good turn out, few sellers. This was about the only thing I saw, and the price was quite reasonable too. Have the ham band drawers. Could use the BC band ones now. There was a nice looking Apache with the chrome knobs begging to leave, but if it got sold, it was after we left. These coils are hard to find. Drop the primary fuse to 1a, and use the HV secondary with 1/4a fuses. This will help save the power transformer. I know this rx pretty well. Good luck they are a bit hard to come by. You maybe able to use the individual coils from a HRO senior (older set 1936-45) and fit them to a panel for the '60. Not sure if you could get 160mtr bandspread as an accessory, on the older ones it wasn't a option the lowest bs coils were for 80mtrs. Looks like it was re-capped extensively, nice work too... The calibrator appears to not put out anything... have not checked it out. The Panoramic SP3/25 is on the bench now.
