Post by: AB3L on March 10, 2017, 01:34:16 PM
Could someone let me know what Hallicrafters chassis this is?

Thanks

Bob

Appears to be a Hallicrafters HT-9 transmitter,  single 814 modulated by a quad of PP parallel 6L6's.

Everything matches the tube types shown on your pix, including the 866 rectifiers, 6J5 audio driver, etc.

Quite a basket case, but if the iron is good, a decent quasi-HB xmitter can be be made from it. Duplicate front panel, find some link output coils, etc.

A real , now late winter redux, project. ;)

And, um, uh oh, ;). These sort of get around.  I should've looked in our very own archive first.

Yep, its an HT-9.  I do not know how much difference there is between the pre-war and post-war models, but I have a post war version.  Mine does not have any coils, so always on the lookout for some coils for it.

Thanks guys.

The garage is getting cleaned out so it is available in some form.

I probably should move it to the Sale page this weekend.

Ht-9. Have 2 of them. The grey boxes are coils and others will want them

I'll move it to the FS/FT section in two weeks....heading to California Wednesday so won't be dealing with it till after that.
This thing feels heavier than the B&W 5100 I had here years ago and it's just a chassis.
Thanks for the feedback.
