Title: On-line Boat Anchor Transmitter Tutorial
Post by: WO4K on March 01, 2017, 08:22:21 AM
Here is a link to a web site by AA8V, Dr. Greg Latta (PhD in physics, professor at Frostburg State University, Maryland). It is for anyone who owns a Viking Ranger, but it is also for everyone who, like me, is still in learning mode on boat anchor circuits and theory. Click on the web site. Click on the schematic. Click on a section of the schematic. Look at the links. It is the most amazingly detailed tutorial I have ever seen on each circuit, its component parts, and a detailed explanation of how any why it works. It is a brilliant accomplishment by AA8V and the best learning tool I have ever seen on boat anchor transmitters. I'm not sure how long this web site has been around. To some of you this web site may be old news. But it was new to me over the weekend.  I think this needs to go into the AM Forum archives and made easy for newbies to find.
