Title: Ranger Mult/Driver
Post by: N8ETQ on January 28, 2017, 07:07:52 PM

     Voltages Ok.   Tube OK.
Hit the Band sw. with DEOXIT pretty gud today.
Spent 3 hrs. at the "Joint" waiting for my XYL
and still can't figure it out..Sad..

Gonna "Skip" church tomorrow and hit
it harder in the AM...  What am I missing?

Low grid drive pulls the clamp in.. It appears
to be working.  PA Escr 15V.. SB  225..

As usual these days it's a highly modified
example of a ranger with the keying sequencer
board added in. Appears to have been "Factory"
assembled by virtue of the rivets for the tube
sockets... The sequencer was "added" judging
from all the "Black Tape" splices...

 Thanks

/Dan

   Found him!

Turns out R12, a 470 ohm 1 watt. on the
front of the band switch (Under that shield)
went to 7.5 K...  PIA...

An excellent stream of consciousness, self solving and repairing thread.
One of the best.  ;D

Glad you found it.
