Title: Viking 2 CDC Front panel Post by: sndtubes on August 27, 2016, 07:39:10 PM I just picked up a Viking 2 CDC which could use a Front panel restoration
Anyone doing this these days? Title: Re: Viking 2 CDC Front panel Post by: k7mdo on August 31, 2016, 12:21:19 AM If you find a source post it please. I too have a CDC version that has horrible paint issues.

The more we send him the lower the unit price. I'll relay via PM what I find out. We will need perfect art work, that is, a photo of a near perfect panel with the knobs off. Decals are available here (without the CDC) : http://www.radiodaze.com/dcl-efj-vkii/ If anyone knows the original color formulas I think it would be easier to a a re-paint & re-decal & far less expensive than a silk screen job. I've been searching the web & so far cannot find the original paint formulas. Title: Re: Viking 2 CDC Front panel Post by: k7mdo on August 31, 2016, 08:06:16 PM There is someone that does the non CDC versions with a vinyl overlay... looks OK but the colors are not original and it is pretty obvious when in place....
Finding someone with a really clean Viking II could provide a clean picture and then some artist type could fill in the rest (CDC) or (CD)? Mine is only CD. I would be willing to pay for silk screen but haven't found someone to do it.
