After the swap shop, Alan, myself, and several others would engage in a roundtable QSO that generally lasted to midnight or beyond. Personally, it’s been very rewarding watching Alan grow professionally and technically over these last 20 plus years. On my wizzy 65 inch 4K TV that has WiFi, I subscribe Alan’s Youtube channel to watch all his video’s. We generally bump into each other several times a year at various local hamfests. If someone asked me to give them an example of an “Elmer”, Alan would always be my first choice.
