Title: The 10-5
Post by: WA4WAX on July 22, 2016, 10:50:35 AM
A nice self-contained 10 watt rig.  I would build for 80 and 40.

See page 661.

I must be missing something. How do I get to page 661 if the thing has only 92?

Open the PDF file, and scroll down to the first page with a printed page number. In my case, it was "625" on page 3.

Since we want to get to page 662 in the original, subtract 625 from 661 to get 36, and then add the "PDF" page number, which is 3, to get 39.

When you enter "39" for the page number at the top of the PDF reader, you'll arrive at "document" page 661.

HTH.

The author of this article gives a nice discussion along the way.  I like the use of a "mains transformer" as a mod transformer.  Would that he might have been a bit more explicit about the winding voltages, but no matter.

My initial scans of Practical Wireless have turned up some decent stuff.

Nice article, thanks for sharing.

I also enjoy perusing the ads, a lot like the old Burstein Applebee or Lafayette catalogs. They were even selling Heathkits in the UK!  Too bad we cannot still order all those goodies!

They even manufactured Heathkits in the UK.

I do not think they made Heathkits in the UK.  Rather, they were imported.  Daystrom was the host company, I think.

So many of those hallowed UK firms like Eddystone are gone......just like ours.
