Title: 15 Meter AM open on March 2, 2016
Post by: W1AEX on March 02, 2016, 12:15:07 PM
The band was decent this morning and I worked 5 stations across the USA and Europe between 1500 - 1700 UTC on 21.420 and 21.430. The screenshot shows Ralph KD6OS running a Flex 5000 out near LA with a fine signal into Connecticut. As I am typing this I am listening to G3HQG just above 21.430 with an S-7 signal off the back of the beam. The lower portion of the band is filled with big signals running other modes so it looks like propagation is working for us.

EA5/G8NOF Glenn transmitting from the Eastern Mainland of Spain on an ANAN 10/100 rf board (just the main board giving about 500 mw) into a Kenwood's final amplifer and off into a 2 element stepper IR.

He can be found as EA5G8NOF on QRZ as well as his G8NOF.    54 given, 57 sent

He was slamming into Connecticut with an S-9 +10 dB signal. You were doing quite well yourself Paul with a signal that was floating between S-7 and S-9. Hope to catch you there if propagation allows!

Thanks John! I am parked and listening on 21.410 with the beam pointing southwest. Give a call if you have time!

Sorry Rob I just got this post.... I went to bed and to sleep shortly after my last post....  doing the night shift work.  In fact, I was in bed but couldn't sleep, I have been cutting down on my coffee intake and I didn't drink a cup  until about 3 am, I think it was working it's magic... that's why I got up and kicked on the ricebox... it came up on 21.430 and I heard Glenn calling with a Spanish prefix.

I miss a lot of action I suppose during the day but I do catch some interesting AM on 75m at night.  We'll chat sometime our schedules shall cross!
