Title: OLD softrock 455kHz/500kHz Assembly Instructions?? Post by: WBear2GCR on February 23, 2016, 10:39:03 AM I did fail to find them online... anyone happen to have copies of the build instructions for the old/original Softrock 455kHz and/or 500kHz versions? I've got one of each here that need assembly, and I can't find them on my computer, and don't have a clue what the deal was with the toroids, etc...
If they are online, a link would be find. _-_- Title: Re: OLD softrock 455kHz/500kHz Assembly Instructions?? Post by: WD8BIL on February 23, 2016, 11:05:17 AM This might help Bear. I've been super busy but will try to dig up the exact stuff.
For I.F. use the input BPF could probably be ditched. http://amfone.net/Amforum/index.php?action=printpage;topic=24547.0 (http://amfone.net/Amforum/index.php?action=printpage;topic=24547.0) Title: Re: OLD softrock 455kHz/500kHz Assembly Instructions?? Tnx. _-_- Title: Re: OLD softrock 455kHz/500kHz Assembly Instructions?? Post by: WD8BIL on February 24, 2016, 02:33:24 PM That's the point..... the toroids are not really needed when using a fixed I.F. frequency.

BTW, this is for version 6.0. What version is yours? I may have that also. Bill KA8WTK Title: Re: OLD softrock 455kHz/500kHz Assembly Instructions?? Post by: WBear2GCR on February 24, 2016, 08:42:23 PM Tnx Bill, I will have to find the bag with the boards - think they are here at the /2 QTH. AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
That is an important detail. I also have the 500kHz version, and iirc there was some slight difference in the toroid winding. |
