Title: OLD softrock 455kHz/500kHz Assembly Instructions??
Post by: WBear2GCR on February 23, 2016, 10:39:03 AM
I did fail to find them online... anyone happen to have copies of the build instructions for the old/original Softrock 455kHz and/or 500kHz versions? I've got one of each here that need assembly, and I can't find them on my computer, and don't have a clue what the deal was with the toroids, etc...

If they are online, a link would be find.

This might help Bear. I've been super busy but will try to dig up the exact stuff.
For I.F. use the input BPF could probably be ditched.

Good info... but what I need is simply the assembly instructions that include the toroidal input (was that what it was) transformer... and how to wind it for 455, and for 500kHz.

Tnx.

That's the point..... the toroids are not really needed when using a fixed I.F. frequency.

Do you need the builders notes? BTW, this is for version 6.0. What version is yours? I may have that also.

Tnx Bill, I will have to find the bag with the boards - think they are here at the /2 QTH.
That is an important detail.

I also have the 500kHz version, and iirc there was some slight difference in the toroid winding.
