Title: symetrix 528E broken Post by: KL7OF on February 13, 2016, 01:25:07 PM I bought a symetrix 528 e at a garage sale for $5...and it doesn't have output...The mic amp, the de-ess the compressor section seem to work (the lights blink) but ...the output lights don't blink and no measureable RMS voltage from the output port..This is an old box with discrete components so I might be able to repair it if I knew how and what to test...I have no manual or schematic....anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance...Steve KL7OF Title: Re: symetrix 528E broken Post by: Pete, WA2CWA on February 13, 2016, 01:38:23 PM Here's the User Guide. It has, at least, a Block diagram.

Turn off all functions in an attempt to get straight through audio. Check the position of the switch SW7, page 35 and make sure it is in Line level mode. Good Luck.
